As the HRSA-designated Prime Vendor for the 340B Drug Pricing Program, Apexus helps 340B stakeholders increase medication access and maintain program compliance through education, contracting, and technical assistance. Apexus offers other programs and services outside of the Prime Vendor Program to further support compliance and program integrity. These include the Covered Entity Refund Service (CRS) and the Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program.
The Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program was launched in 2016 to address the growing need for advanced education on 340B operations. Featuring a 24-module, self-paced curriculum, the program brings the 340B statute to real practice settings and provides professionals with the skills needed to apply compliance cornerstones effectively in their organizations. After passing a rigorous final examination that tests operational understanding, learners earn the credential 340B Apexus Certified Expert (340B ACE). A publicly accessible lookup tool allows stakeholders to validate participants’ expertise in the marketplace, further strengthening the program’s credibility and impact. Participants can also earn continuing education credit and are required to complete recertification every two years to maintain their 340B ACE status, an added benefit that supports ongoing professional development. Today, the certificate program is recognized nationally as the standard for advanced 340B training, equipping learners with the tools and confidence to navigate program complexities while driving integrity, consistency, and operational effectiveness.

- Since certifying the first 340B ACEs in 2017, Apexus has awarded the Advanced 340B Operations Certificate to more than 2,300 professionals.
- The Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program is unique in that it is continuously improved based directly on learner feedback—because the voice of the customer really matters.
- The annual exclusive 340B ACE event at the 340B Coalition Summer Meeting typically draws 100–150 attendees and features creative themes such as “Decoding the Mystery of 340B Operations” (2024) and “Stacking the Deck: Building a Winning 340B Network” (2025).
- Apexus has provided 10 scholarships for the Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program since 2021.

One of the initiatives the company is most proud of is the Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program Scholarship, launched in 2021 to celebrate the program’s fifth anniversary. The scholarship is designed to strengthen 340B Program integrity and compliance by validating expertise and covering the cost of enrollment for selected recipients seeking to enhance 340B compliance and oversight in their organizations. Applications and nominations are evaluated across 10 pillar categories aligned with program goals, along with applicants’ potential impact on their organizations and communities. This year, we are proud to award five scholarships to individuals representing a wide range of professional roles across the 340B community, further advancing professional development and reinforcing the program’s commitment to 340B compliance.
