Q: What kind of work does your company do in 340B and what makes it stand out?
At VytlOne, we help hospitals, health systems, health centers, and other covered entities (CEs) build, optimize, and sustain high-performing 340B programs. Our services span pharmacy operations and compliance support, contract pharmacy optimization, analytics, revenue capture, audit readiness, and strategic program expansion. We also provide technology and data insights that help CEs navigate an increasingly complex 340B environment.
What sets us apart is that we don’t look at 340B as a standalone program. We integrate 340B strategy with pharmacy operations, patient access, clinical programs, and analytics to help our partners turn pharmacy into a sustainable driver of both patient care and financial performance.
More recently, we’ve extended that approach through VytlAIQ, our intelligent pharmacy platform that combines data, automation, and actionable insights to help hospitals and other providers identify opportunities, reduce leakage, improve prescription capture, and maximize the value of their pharmacy and 340B programs. Our focus is always on helping CEs preserve and reinvest resources back into the communities they serve.
Q: Why did you choose to work in the 340B space?
I was drawn to the 340B space because it sits at the intersection of healthcare access, patient advocacy, and operational innovation. At its core, the program was designed to help providers extend care to vulnerable populations, and I believe strongly in that mission.
What keeps me engaged today is the opportunity to help hospital and other CEs navigate change while maximizing the resources available to serve patients. When a 340B program is operating effectively, it can expand access to medications, support clinical services, and strengthen the long-term sustainability of essential healthcare organizations. That’s incredibly meaningful work.
Q: What do you feel is your most significant contribution to the 340B world or to a 340B customer/client?
I believe my most significant contribution has been helping organizations view pharmacy and 340B strategically rather than transactionally while establishing a relationship as a partner and not a vendor. Too often, 340B has been treated as a compliance exercise or a savings program alone.
The work our team does is helping CEs uncover opportunities they didn’t know existed, optimize complex pharmacy ecosystems, and create sustainable programs that support both patient outcomes and organizational growth. I’m particularly proud of how we’ve applied technology and data through innovations with VytlAIQ to give hospitals greater visibility into pharmacy performance, identify missed opportunities, and make more informed decisions about their 340B strategies. By combining expertise, analytics, and actionable intelligence, we’re helping our partners maximize the value of their programs while maintaining a strong compliance posture and expanding services for patients.
Q: What advice do you have for a young professional who has recently launched a career in the 340B space?
First, never lose sight of the purpose behind the program. Regulations, policies, audits, and manufacturer restrictions are important, but at the end of the day, 340B exists to support patients and strengthen access to care. The program is critical to non-profit health care providers trying to serve patients in underserved areas. The revenue generated allows investment in much needed programs and services across the country for patients.
I would also add: commit yourself to continuous learning. The 340B landscape evolves constantly, and the professionals who succeed are the ones who stay curious, ask questions, and seek to understand not only compliance requirements but also pharmacy operations, finance, data analytics, and patient care.
And I’d leave them with this: build relationships. The 340B community is made up of passionate people who care deeply about the mission. Collaborate, listen, and learn from others. The professionals who make the greatest impact are the ones who combine technical expertise with a genuine commitment to helping providers and patients succeed.
