Q: Where did you grow up?
I was born, raised and still reside in Glassboro NJ. It’s about 20 minutes east of Philadelphia in southern New Jersey.
Q: Where did you go to college/graduate school?
I went to the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and graduated with my Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2004.
Q: What are your favorites?
Food: Hibachi/Sushi
Movie: Iron Man
Musicians: Notorious B.I.G, Phil Collins, DMX
Destination: Turks and Caicos/ Disney World
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
I like to travel, fish, and enjoy spending time at the beach/swim club.
Q: What kind of work does your company do in 340B and what makes it stand out?
In our 340B Referral model, Signify Health uses unique data to identify all eligible referral and contract pharmacy expansion opportunities.
Q: Why did you choose to work in the 340B space?
I started out as an independent pharmacy owner that was a contract pharmacy for a covered entity in my area. I really enjoyed working with them to help patients receive medications at my pharmacy via their charity card program. When the opportunity arose to work more hands on in the 340B space and help more entities, I jumped at the opportunity.
Q: What do you feel is your most significant contribution to the 340B world or to a 340B customer/client?
It’s more of a general contribution of enabling entities who have limited resources to build out programs that not only help stabilize their situation but help patients receive the care and medications they need.
Q: What advice do you have for a young professional who has recently launched a career in the 340B space?
Don’t feel like you need to know everything right away. It’s a cliche but as the saying goes, if you have seen one covered entity you have seen one covered entity. Ask to join as many calls or webinars as possible as the exposure alone will help you grow significantly in your understanding.
