340B Recertification for CDC Grantees Starts May 8

This year’s annual 340B recertification period for U.S. Centers for Disease Prevention and Control grantees—Title X family planning, sexually transmitted disease, and tuberculosis clinics—will be May 8 through June 5, the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration said Tuesday.

Recertification for HRSA and Indian Health Service grantees was Jan. 30 through Feb. 27. Recertification for hospital covered entities normally begins in mid to late August.

Entities must attest every year that they are eligible to buy covered outpatient drugs at discounted 340B prices. HRSA expels those that fail to do so from the drug discount program. HRSA’s Office of Pharmacy Affairs is holding a recertification webinar for Title X family planning, STD, and TB grantees on May 3 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern. OPA sent email messages with the link to the webinar to entities’ 340B program primary contacts.
