Q: Where did you grow up?

Q: Where did you go to college/graduate school?

Northeastern University for Pharmacy and Columbia University for Public Health

Q: What are your favorites?

Food: Anything that has a filling wrapped in dough – dumpling, empanada, ravioli! 

Movie: I have seen Forrest Gump more times than I’d like admit.

Musicians: I don’t think I have any favorite. Fun fact: My Spotify Wrapped in recent years all have Fun Jazz as my favorite artist because that’s the go-to background music in our household. 

Destination: Acadia National Park in Maine

Q: What do you like to do outside of work?

I love spending time with my family and my pups outside – be it locally or on trips!

Q: What kind of work does your company do in 340B and what makes it stand out?

We help clients optimize their 340B program through Referral and Ineligible Claims Capture services. What I think makes us stand out is the incredible collaboration we have across all of our teams, which helps us provide clients with not just a very effective product, but also great client support services. Furthermore, we take compliance very seriously and have always built our product and our teams with compliance in mind first and foremost. We audit 10% of all claims we verify on a regular basis, and if the covered entities we work with are going through a HRSA audit, we audit 100% of all referral claims we ever captured.

Q: Why did you choose to work in the 340B space?

I learned about 340B during my 2-year Health System Pharmacy Administration residency training at an FQHC in central Maine and really admired the impact the program has on safety net providers’ ability to serve their underserved populations. So, when an opportunity came to work fully with 340B at a large heath system in Maine, I took the leap and have never looked back!

Q: What do you feel is your most significant contribution to the 340B world or to a 340B customer/client?

I have always been an advocate for solutions that embrace and support, but not replace, the human touch of 340B. It is so great to see really advanced 340B technology being built and improved every day, but we should not forget that 340B is a very complex program and that investment in building a strong 340B team always pays off. In all of the roles I have held in 340B, I always make sure to recognize not just my team members, but also the external teams that we get to work with, be it our pharmacy partners, other vendors or our clients. Recently, I helped launch a 340B Hero campaign at Cloudmed. Through this, any covered entity, regardless if they’re an existing client or not, can nominate a 340B Hero to receive public recognition and enter to receive free summer coalition registration!

Q: What advice do you have for a young professional who has recently launched a career in the 340B space?

You will truly never know everything about 340B and that’s ok. Ask lots of questions, put your creative thinking cap on once in a while, and always remember the great mission of this program when things get tough.
