Q: Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Delta, Pennsylvania, a rural area that is about an hour outside of Baltimore, Maryland right over the Mason Dixon line.
Q: Where did you go to college?
I attended York College of Pennsylvania and graduated with a degree in Mathematics.
Q: What are your favorites?
Food: Maryland Crabs
Movie: Meet Me in St. Louis and Newsies
Musicians: New Found Glory
Destination: Beach all the way!
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
When I am not working, I can be found with my boys who are 3 and 5 years old. I am often chauffeuring them to various activities, fighting with the older one over who gets to play the Xbox (I usually lose), tending to my chickens, or working in my garden.
Q: What kind of work does your company do in 340B and what makes it stand out?
Sectyr® is a software company that provides solutions primarily to healthcare organizations that focus on improving compliance management. One of our key solutions is SectyrHub® 340B which provides guided workflows to create efficiencies across teams that lead to better documentation, smarter auditing, and clear and concise reporting to achieve continuous program compliance™. When all of these items occur, increased oversight for the entire program is the result.
Q: Why did you choose to work in the 340B space?
My background in mathematics and in customer service made the 340B space a good fit. Attention to detail and my desire to help others and tackle problems are what I enjoy most. I now have continued my journey in 340B and gained my 340B ACE certificate in January of this year.
Q: What do you feel is your most significant contribution to the 340B world or to a 340B customer/client?
My most significant contribution to our 340B customers is through our ongoing support. Exceptional customer service is not only my personal #1 priority but is also a foundational goal for the entire Sectyr® team. We see the 340B Program as vital and therefore helping our customers maintain their compliance is why we exist.
Q: What advice do you have for a young professional who has recently launched a career in the 340B space?
All the rules and requirements around 340B can seem intimidating at times. And the world of 340B is ever-changing so there is always something new that you can learn. But, keeping in mind the core mission of giving back to patients and communities makes the work involved satisfying and rewarding.
