Q: Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Tampa, FL.
Q: Where did you go to college/graduate school?
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida and pharmacy school at Nova Southeastern University.
Q: What are your favorites?
Food: Mexican and Italian foods are my favorite.
Movie: My favorite movies are consistently lighthearted comedies like The Devil Wears Prada and It’s Complicated.
Musicians: My three favorite musicians are Stevie Nicks, Little Big Town, and Post Malone.
Destination: My favorite vacation spot is Paris.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
I love cooking and spending time with my husband and two sons. We enjoy hosting gatherings and relaxing by the lake with our friends and extended family.
Q: What kind of work does your company do in 340B and what makes it stand out?
Visante provides a variety of 340B expertise and support services, including auditing and compliance, optimization, program management and oversight, and 340B ESP support.
Q: Why did you choose to work in the 340B space?
Prior to joining Visante, I spent 20 years practicing in various clinical and leadership roles in hospital and health system pharmacy. I saw firsthand how the 340B program benefits patients and covered entities. It is very rewarding to now help a wider variety of covered entities navigate the program and maximize their savings to support patient care.
Q: What do you feel is your most significant contribution to the 340B world or to a 340B customer/client?
Our most significant contribution is helping our clients navigate the complexities of the 340B program and optimize their opportunities to realize savings and benefits that support patient care and their program goals.
Q: What advice do you have for a young professional who has recently launched a career in the 340B space?
My advice to a young professional is to learn as much as possible from a variety of 340B resources and develop a network you can contact for questions and guidance. All covered entities are unique, and there is always something to learn from others’ experiences.
