Q: Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Scranton and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and regularly traveled from Pittsburgh to Philly. My mom was a registered nurse, and I would volunteer to assist her growing up. Caring for her patients not only ignited my philanthropic passion but also illuminated the many bumps on their road to recovery. I decided to study business management so I could help pave a smoother way. Upon graduating from college, I moved to the sunshine state of Florida, where I have resided for nearly 20 years. Although I love living in the south, taking my boys home to Hershey Chocolate World and Hershey Park is still my favorite trip!
Q: Where did you go to college/graduate school?
I graduated from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with an undergrad degree in Accounting and Business Management. I then obtained my 5th year degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida and my MBA from the Everglades University of Florida.
Q: What are your your favorites?
Food: Cheez-it Grooves – White Cheddar. I cannot stay away!
Movies: Too many classics to name – but I love documentaries
Musicians: Linkin Park, Beatles, and Chris Stapleton
Destinations: Paris and Prague have been my favorite so far, but I have my sights set on New Zealand and Hawaii now.
Q: What do you like to do outside of work?
When I am not working, I am very busy having fun! I love playing sand volleyball and watching my boys’ soccer and baseball games. I am always looking for my next adventure – live concerts, sporting events, you name it! I also love kayaking and boating (and pretty much any activity on the water).
Q: What kind of work does your company do in 340B and what makes it stand out?
We help organizations qualify, implement, and grow their 340B programs. We stand out because of the uniquely holistic approach we take to everything we do. 340B is not simply a pharmaceutical program and we understand how to embed it into all areas of the organization from human resources to finance and operations. As a result, our clients achieve over 800% program revenue growth on average after contracting with our full-service offerings, which we always deliver with highly personalized, white glove customer service.
Q: Why did you choose to work in the 340B space?
340B chose me! With my past CPA experience in auditing and compliance and my passion for health care optimization, it was a natural fit.
Q: What do you feel is your most significant contribution to the 340B world or to a 340B customer/client?
Eligibility and Growth. We have assisted many organizations that did not believe they were qualified for the 340B program. With our guidance and expertise, these eligible organizations were able to seamlessly establish a 340B program, resulting in a new revenue stream. This additional source of income has allowed them to implement new patient assistance programs that they never dreamed would be possible. We have also transformed numerous established 340B programs, making them more efficient, ethical and profitable. As a result of this growth, these Covered Entities were able to touch more patients’ lives as well. We are very proud that our work allows more patients to get access to better quality care.
Q: What advice do you have for a young professional who has recently launched a career in the 340B space?
