340B in Washington, D.C.:
Key Issues and What to Expect Next

Join Us for Our Next Subscriber-Exclusive Webinar

After a lull in federal action, the 340B program is once again getting attention in Washington, D.C. President Donald Trump recently signed an executive order that would require community health centers to pass on 340B discounts for insulin and injectable epinephrine for low-income patients, and a leaked document indicates the administration would like to extend that requirement to all drug products. The president has also ordered the Department of Health and Human Services to study Medicare reimbursement to hospitals, which could be a precursor for big Medicare Part B cuts for 340B hospitals. Meanwhile, the Senate committee chair with 340B jurisdiction has released the long-awaited findings from his investigation and is pushing for reform legislation. At the same time, the bipartisan group of senators working on comprehensive 340B legislation announced new members and is finalizing its bill. Other important bills are expected to be introduced shortly in both chambers.

Join us for a special subscriber-only webinar on June 18 from 12 to 1 p.m. ET, where you will hear from some of the nation’s top advocates and thought leaders on these important matters.

Topics include:

  • Trump’s drug pricing executive orders, including one that has a number of elements focused specifically on 340B stakeholders.
  • Next steps in Senate Health, Education Labor and Pensions Committee Chair Bill Cassidy’s (R-La.) 340B investigation.
  • The future of the bipartisan SUSTAIN 340B Act and other 340B bills in Congress.
  • Will drug manufacturers’ efforts to use a 340B rebate model instead of an upfront discount gain momentum or lose steam after a recent court decision?

  • Peggy Tighe, Principal, Powers Pyles Sutter & Verville; Counsel, Ryan White Clinics for 340B Access
  • Colleen Meiman, National Policy Advisor for State and Regional Primary Care Associations
