Hospitals enrolled in the 340B program will have to recertify their eligibility for reduced 340B drug pricing this year between Aug. 24 and Sept. 19, the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration says.
340B covered entities must annually recertify their eligibility to remain in the 340B program and continue purchasing covered outpatient drugs at discounted 340B prices. This is the 10th year entities have gone through the process.
The deadline for community health centers to recertify their 340B eligibility was Feb. 28. It was June 6 for Title X family planning clinics, sexually-transmitted disease clinics, and tuberculosis clinics.
Information about 340B annual recertification is available on the HRSA Office of Pharmacy Affairs website. Entities also can email the 340B Prime Vendor or call 888-340-2787 (Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Eastern).
