Q: Tell us some interesting details about your company’s history.
Alinea officially launched in 2014, but we were already stirring things up in the 340B audit and advisory world well before that! Our founders got their start in 340B and pharmacy consulting at Ernst & Young back in 2000. To put that in perspective, our biggest concern back then was Y2K (and yes, we totally get that half of you might need to Google that)! Needless to say, the 340B world has evolved a lot since then—just like us!
Alinea’s first time exhibiting at the 340B Coalition was in July, 2014. Our setup? One easel with a cardboard sign showcasing the Alinea logo. Humble beginnings indeed! Fast forward, and Alinea has grown organically to over 20 team members. We’ve meticulously built a team rich with 340B operational expertise, uniting talent from diverse backgrounds: 340B ACEs, PharmD’s, hospital reimbursement, regulatory affairs, IT/informatics, certified EMR SMEs, and former covered entity 340B coordinators, to name a few.
It has been a fun and interesting trip, to say the least. Alinea is now widely recognized as a leading expert in 340B guidance and thought leadership. Our experienced team of experts has assisted clients with everything from annual 340B audits and program optimization to pricing transparency, audit readiness, and beyond!
Q: Provide some fun facts about your company:
- Alinea has partnered with covered entities in 49 states. The one state we’ve yet to conquer? Hawaii! But let’s be real, we’d probably get too distracted by the beaches to get much work done, so maybe it’s for the best!
- Jamila Seibel, our talented VP of Professional Services, has been with Alinea for an impressive nine years. In that time, she’s embarked on quite the journey, living in seven different cities and states. Her adventurous lifestyle is courtesy of her husband, Adam, who’s a Colonel in the Army. Their current assignment has brought them to Washington, DC!
- Since 2014, our team members have clocked over 5,000,000 frequent flyer miles visiting clients! On those delay days, if we’re not addressing client needs, you can usually find us at O’Hare airport, enjoying a spirited game of gin rummy.
- We are profoundly grateful to our oldest client, who has been with us for an incredible 20 years. While we won’t mention their name, we owe them a tremendous amount of gratitude for embarking on this journey with us. The lessons and insights we’ve gained from them, and all of our client-partners, have been invaluable.
Q: What makes your company unique in the 340B space?
Our fantastic team, with its diverse skills, is driven by a unique passion for 340B that’s deeply woven into our culture. While we value our experience at bigger consulting firms prior to Alinea, we believe the team we have built, with a focus on the operational details of 340B and close collaboration with our clients, sets us apart from our competitors. Having managed 340B programs ourselves, we’ve tackled countless challenges working hand -to- hand with our clients. We truly understand the complexities of maintaining 340B compliance. No matter the situation, we embrace our clients’ challenges as our own and approach each day with the belief that we can solve any problem and improve our client’s day-to-day management of 340B.
Q: What about your company’s work are you most proud of?
340B has always held a special place in our hearts. We truly believe in its mission and have seen firsthand the positive impact it has on the covered entities we work with. We take the most pride in the relationships we’ve built with our clients and the operational challenges, risks, and opportunities we’ve tackled and achieved together, all while working to protect this invaluable program.
